New Niagara attraction lets you fly without ever leaving your seat
Imagine, soaring above Niagara Falls like a bird, but all from the comfort of your chair?
It’s possible, with Niagara Parks' newest must-see-attraction, Niagara Takes Flight.
It’s Ontario’s very first flying theatre and the second of its kind in all of Canada. Located just steps from Horseshoe Falls at the Table Rock Centre, this year-round attraction invites visitors to buckle up, lift off, and experience Niagara from a breathtaking, bird’s-eye view.
“It’s a flying theatre attraction, an immersive ride through 56 kilometres of Niagara parkland,” explained Chris Giles, Director Communication and Marketing with Niagara Parks.
Picture this: you sit in gondola-style seats, your feet are dangling in the air, and a massive 17-metre wide domed screen is surrounding you. While motion-based seats and other sensory effects like wind, mist and scent come together to create the exhilarating illusion of free flight, as you travel through swirling rapids, historic sites, and of course the Niagara River.

Filmed across 11 iconic spots over six months, you’ll swoop through icy winters, glide over spring blossoms, and dive into summer’s lush greens. It’s every season, every angle, and you’re in the pilot’s seat.
“We have guests that squeal with excitement, we hear laughter, sometimes we hear screams. We have had guests that come out of this experience. They cry. Their hearts swell with pride,” explained Missy Sauer, Director, Retail and Attractions with Niagara Parks.
This-year-round attraction was captured using custom-built drones, with a world class drone pilot and videographer crew.

“It’s all filmed through drones, a custom built drone actually… It's quite large, about the size of a lawnmower that’s carrying a cinema camera to get the quality of picture you see in the theatre. And all tightly choreographed shots, there are 12 different scenes in the movie and they are choreographed to the very second,” explained Giles.
And before you take off, the experience begins with a pre-show that celebrates Niagara’s culture. Step beneath a 25-foot digital waterfall and into immersive storytelling rooms that highlight 13,000 years of history. From Indigenous artwork brought to life through animation… to the story of the Falls narrated by director James Cameron, from Titanic and Avatar.

This isn’t just another ride. It’s created by retired Disney Imagineer Rick Rothschild, the mind behind Soarin’ Over California and brought to life by Brogent Technologies, global leaders in flying theatre attractions. Translation? World-class thrills you can’t find just anywhere.
It’s fun, it’s breathtaking, and it’s unforgettable. Niagara Falls will always amaze from the ground but now, you can feel what it’s like to fly.
