When Korey Williams and Dave Konefall found this pelican entangled in a net on their property on the western shore of Lake Winnipeg, they sprang into action.
The American white pelican, known for its distinctive caruncle growth near the tip of its beak during breeding season, was struggling to free itself from the netting. Konefall carefully worked to cut the net away, ensuring the bird's safety.
