Despite some early signs of frost, a ridge of high pressure moving in from the Prairies will act as a shield, deflecting active weather systems and ensuring drier, warmer conditions for the next 7–10 days.

This weekend, daytime highs will hover in the mid-20s under partly cloudy skies, with only minimal chances of isolated showers.
From Tuesday through Thursday next week, temperatures will trend even higher, reaching the mid to upper 20s, with humidex values approaching 30°C in some areas. Morning lows will remain comfortably in the teens.

By comparison, the normal daytime highs for this time of year are 23°C in Windsor, 21°C in Toronto, and 20°C in Ottawa.
