Opportunity for severe weather in Quebec arises again on Wednesday

It could be a stormy Wednesday afternoon and evening in parts of Quebec as conditions will be favourable for severe weather again

Folks in Quebec will need to be weather-aware again on Wednesday.

A swath of southern Quebec will see the chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening, with a severe risk remaining south of Montreal. However, the severe risk will include areas such as Sherbrooke. The main hazards will be similar to Tuesday's chance, with quarter-sized hail and strong wind gusts possible.

Storms could become severe on Wednesday

On Wednesday, Montreal could see thunderstorms but should remain non-severe in nature. Farther east, there is some uncertainty on how strong the storms will be for the Eastern Townships.

Storms will develop near the St Lawrence River and track east, mainly near Trois-Rivières and Quebec City, with a lower threat farther south. The main hazards will be similar to Tuesday's chance, with quarter-sized hail and strong wind gusts.
