Stormy June soaks northern Ontario, shatters rainfall records
Timmins set a new June rainfall record after storms soaked much of northern Ontario.
It wasn't your imagination—June was a washout in parts of Ontario, with Timmins leading the way, breaking its all-time June rainfall record with a whopping 217.6 mm.
That's more than the previous record of 216.1 mm set in 1984 and nearly three times the city's June rainfall average of 80.4 mm.
