
Summer-like heat pushes Toronto into Canada's 2025 30-degree club

Toronto saw its first 30°C day of the year on Wednesday, June 4.
According to Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), the temperature at Toronto Pearson International Airport reached 30.9°C at 2 p.m. EDT, but it felt slightly warmer than that with a humidex of 35 at the time. With that reading, Toronto joins the ever-growing list of major cities in Canada that have hit 30°C in 2025.

The heat and humidity in Toronto and surrounding locales in southern Ontario led to the development of thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening.
Toronto can expect more pleasant, early-summer weather this weekend, but temperatures aren't likely to get as high as they did on Wednesday.
