Travel delays possible in parts of Alberta as freezing rain coats roads
Brace for dicey travel in parts of Alberta Tuesday as roads will likely become icy and slippery from freezing rain
Travellers heading on the roads in southern Alberta Tuesday will need to exercise caution and brace for slippery roads.
Periods of freezing rain are ongoing through Tuesday afternoon, affecting untreated walkways and sideroads in Calgary, Olds, Airdrie, Okotokes, Claresholm, Drumheller, extending to Brooks.

The low bringing the freezing rain is rather weak, however, and will be moving eastwards in the evening, significantly limiting accumulations.
Precipitation is forecast to change over into snowfall Tuesday evening as colder air pulls into the system that will move into central Saskatchewan. Light accumulations are possible north and east of Calgary and Red Deer.

High pressure will move in for a period of quiet weather to end off the work week. Be mindful, though, that a significant pattern change will bring Arctic air early next week, with the potential for snowy weather to return.
