B.C.'s Sea to Sky Highway reopens after closure, wintry weather reported
RCMP are still investigating the cause of the incident, which caused multiple injuries. It was noted that there was poor weather occurring at the time of the accident on Wednesday morning.

A multi-vehicle accident closed a section of the popular Sea to Sky Highway (Highway 99), near Whistler, B.C., on Wednesday morning, reportedly leading to multiple injuries.
The accident closed both directions between Brew Creed Road and Callaghan Valley Road shortly before 9 a.m. PT, according to Sea to Sky (Whistler) RCMP. However, the highway has since reopened to all traffic in both directions, according to DriveBC.
CBC News reported that 10 people were sent to hospital as a result, with two of them listed in critical condition, citing information from B.C. Emergency Health Services (BCEHS). Eight others were taken to hospital in stable condition.
At the time of the incident, there were showers and a wintry mix in the area. The wintry mix for the Sea to Sky is expected to continue through Wednesday, with a likelihood of changing to snow overnight as the temperatures and freezing levels drop.
The RCMP are still investigating the cause, however.
"Drivers should also continue to exercise caution when travelling the Sea to Sky corridor today due to mixed snow and rain weather conditions," Cpl. Katrina Boehmer said in a news release, cited by multiple media outlets including CBC News.

Meanwhile, there is the potential for more highway impacts farther inland into the province this week as a snowfall warning remains in place for parts of the Interior.
